PVC stabilizers are used to prevent degradation of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) by heating, oxygen and ultraviolet, etc. especially during processing, but also in applications.
The choice of stabilizers depends on processing technologies, cost, relevant legal restrictions and requirements of the finished PVC products. By combining with lubricants, auxiliary stabilizers, antioxidants, anti-ultraviolet agents and other additives, our stabilizer portfolio provides suitable and efficient solutions for a variety of PVC processing requirements.
WELLSTABTM is the trade name of SUNDOW stabilizer and is sold in the form of a compound stabilizer (One-Pack). It can be precisely adjusted according to the performance requirements of the final product to meet a very wide range of product and performance requirements.
There are three main series of WELLSTAB™ stabilizers:
Ø WELLSTAB™ SP series ---lead based compound stabilizers
Ø WELLSTAB™CZ series --- calcium-zinc based compound stabilizers
Ø WELLSTAB™ST series --- Organic Tin stabilizers
2. WELLSTAB™ SP series——Lead based compound stabilizers
Lead based compound stabilizers are generally used in combination with lead soaps, calcium soaps, lubricants and antioxidants, etc. They can be used in PVC pipes, fittings, profiles, decorative panels, boards, shutters, wire & cables, etc.

u The major properties of lead based compound stabilizers include:
• Excellent heat stability
• Good electrical properties
• Excellent light resistance
• Wide processing window
• Good cost-performance
• No detrimental effects on the Vicat softening temperature of rigid PVC
• Low solubility in water, no leaking into the environment
• No odor during processing and in the final product
• Low water absorption
• Lead compounds are chronically toxic to biology
• Not suitable for transparent products, discolour in contact with sulphur-containing compounds

They can be used in PVC pipes, fittings, profiles, decorative panels, boards, shutters, wire & cables, etc
3. WELLSTAB™ CZ series——Ca/Zn based compound stabilizers
Ca-Zn based compound stabilizers are made by combining Ca-Zn salt stabilizers with auxiliary stabilizers, lubricants, anti-oxidants, anti-ultraviolet agents and other additives. In general, they are in powder form. Calcium Zinc Stabilizers are also suitable for nontoxic and food grade PVC items that require FDA and/or similar approval, under food regulatory acts.

Ø No polluting, not react with lead salt, organotin and other heat stabilizers

They are largely used in PVC pipe & fitting, profile, electric wire and cable, artificial leather, medical tube and part, flooring, footwear, film, board/sheet and many other applications.
4.WELLSTAB™ ST series——Organic Tin stabilizers
Organic Tin stabilizershave high efficient heat stability, excellent initial coloring, high-temperature color stability and long-term dynamic stability. It is suitable for all kinds of process of flexible and rigid PVC, such as calendaring, extrusion, injection and blow molding, etc.
